Thanks, I was looking just for this information....!

I'm not too familiar with Ubuntu and my preference is for CentOS (which I know really well and prefer over Ubuntu), a Debian derivative.

The article starts with a list of packages that need installing through apt-get.

    However, CentOS uses yum instead.

How can I proceed to install it on CentOS?

    Thanks a lot!!!

I should add that I have tried with yum install instead of apt-get install, but quite a few of the packages are not recognized (do I need to perhaps add a specific yum repo?)

    Thanks

Sorry, feel free to delete the posts above, they may create confusion. I know many commands in CentOS, but my mistake was that it's a RH based distro. Sorry for the confusion and for spoiling the thread, please delete my posts and keep it tidy.

I suggest you try simplebuild instead. It is easier to build oscam. You can also build oscam for other platforms. Search for simplebuild tutorial on my blog. This is now the preferred way to build oscam on all linux distros.
