Atemio Nemesis is coming to the market

After a few months here is new article from satnigmo 🙂

Atemio Nemesis specs were revealed and they are very promising. We are getting new Vu+, Xtrend rival!

• Digitale Full HD 1080p Triple Linux ontvanger
• BCM7424 Dual Core 2x 1300 MHz Mips Processor
• 3 insteektuners voor DVB-S2 en/of DVB-C/T2 (Plug & Play)
• Flash 2 GB
• RAM 2 GB
• OLED Display
• 2x Conax7 Kaartlezer
• 2x Common Interface
• Gigabit Lan (10/100/1000 MBit compatible Interface)
• HDMI Ingang
• HDMI Uitgang
• Geintegreerde WIFI 2,4 Ghz aansluiting
• YUV Componentuitgang
• 3x USB (1x Voor-, 2x achterkant)
• PVR ready via USB, NAS, SATA intern en extern
• RS 232
• SPDIF uitgang
• 4G LTE geschikt via USB
• Bluetooth geschikt via USB
• Aan/Uit schakelaar

As you can see, Atemio Nemesis is very capable satellite receiver. It is very similar to Vu+ Duo2 actually with even more features (two HDMI ports for example). There are no pictures floating around so there is still a mystery regarding Nemesis design. I hope it will have premium look with good display (Duo2 has horrible VFD display) and functional remote control. Latter one is very important as we have it in our hands all the time.

How to distinguish between Vu+ clone and original receiver?

Recently Vu+ introduced new security measures with new drivers. If you happen to have Vu+ clone, do not flash image with new drivers as you will get HW ERROR message on VFD screen and receiver will not boot. Luckily receiver can be restored with simple re-flash procedure. In file below you can check if you have Vu+ clone.

I BOUGHT VU+ VIA OFFICIAL DISTRIBUTER BUT IT IS A CLONE. WHAT TO DO IN SUCH CASE!? You need to contact Vu+ support and they will definitely respond and ask you to send the receiver to them.

How to use remotestreamconverter plugin in OpenPLi 4.0

Remotestreamconverter plugin enables you to connect two satellite receivers with Enigma 2 software and watch channels from one receiver on other receiver.

This is handy if you have more satellites on your main receiver in your bedroom but you cannot afford to install more LNBs or better diseqc switch in your second receiver which is in your cabinet.

Please watch below video for detailed presentation:

At the end you need to enter IP of your second receiver from which you want to obtain additional channels. You also need to enter username which is usually “root” and password which usually does not exist. Thats it.

How to insert IPTV channels into Enigma 2 bouquets

Putting IPTV channels into Enigma 2 bouquets can be a challenging task. There is a possibility of using DreamBoxEdit which supports IPTV channels or streams but I am a fan of a harder way where you are adding iptv channels directly into enigma 2 channel lists files (*.tv files). For this you need remote access to your receiver via ssh connection. I suggest you use WinSCP software.

When you are done with connecting to your receiver, go to to /etc/enigma2 and open bouquets.tv file. Add this line into the file (EDIT: this step is actually not needed – restart of E2 is enough that receiver detects new userbouquet.iptv.tv file):
#SERVICE 1:7:1:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:FROM BOUQUET “userbouquet.iptv.tv” ORDER BY bouquet

“userbouquet.iptv.tv” is the name of the file which contains iptv channels list. You can rename it to something else, I just used name iptv. Remember that words “userbouquet” and “tv” cannot be changed. You can only change word “iptv”.

Then you need to create userbouquet.iptv.tv file using notepad++ and then continue with putting iptv channels into this file. In my case added channels look like this:

#NAME IPTV Streams
